Gordon James left for a battalion the day after his wedding with Daphne Kirk. Seven years later, Daphne took their son Freddy to Gordon's camp to meet his dad. There she found out he got married to another woman in the camp. Conflicts with his new wife Flora and her mom Jane led to Freddy dying on the trip. Daphne swore to avenge her son with help from her father, Marshal Simon Kirk. Gordon killed Jane to win his powerful father-in-law's favor, only to get killed by Flora who then committed suicide.
